Whether you're flying into Naples International Airport (NAP) or Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), we've put together a few travel tips to help you choose the route that fits your style & budget, from the most affordable options to the full ✨dolce vita✨ experience.
If you're planning to do Italy properly and spend a few days exploring other cities before the wedding (which we highly recommend!), don't worry. Italy's high-speed rail network will be your best friend! Frecciarossa and Italo connect many of Italy's major cities including Rome, Florence, Milan, Venice, Bologna, and Naples to Salerno (the closest high-speed train station to Ravello).
For the romantics (and future Instagram stars), We've also included some of the most cinematic ways to arrive, like taking a ferry along the Amalfi Coast with breathtaking views that make the journey just as memorable as the destination.

Ravello is a pedestrian-only town, meaning cars are not allowed in the historic center. We recommend choosing accommodations within walking distance of the wedding events to make getting around as easy as possible.
Before booking your stay, please keep these two things in mind:
September is peak season on the Amalfi Coast, so we highly recommend booking your hotel or Airbnb 8–10 months in advance, as accommodations fill up quickly. The good news is that most hotels and vacation rentals offer free cancellation until a few days before arrival, so you can book with confidence.

Style Guide
September is still warm enough to enjoy the beach, boat trips, and long sunny days along the Amalfi Coast.
However, Ravello sits high in the mountains, so temperatures drop noticeably after sunset. Between 6:00 and 10:00 PM, evenings are typically around 18–22°C (64–72°F), especially if there's a breeze.
We recommend bringing a light sweater, blazer, or shawl so you can stay comfortable while enjoying the evening festivities.
Ravello is a pedestrian-friendly town with charming cobblestone streets and plenty of stairs.
We encourage elegant attire, but comfort is key! If you're planning to wear heels, consider bringing a pair of flats or block heels for walking between venues.
Your feet will thank you later. 😉

Power
Italy is still very much a cash-friendly country, especially along the Amalfi Coast. While most places accept credit cards, cash ("contanti") is often preferred by local businesses.
If Europe had a nemesis, it might just be American Express... and the Amalfi Coast is no exception. 😅
Carrying a few Euros will save you from awkward moments and keep your gelato stops uninterrupted.
Italian outlets utilize 230V. We recommend packing a universal adapter if you are traveling from outside of Europe.
And last but not least..
Things move a little slower here and that's exactly how they should. Leave extra time for transportation, embrace the slower pace, and enjoy every moment.
While you're out exploring, don't forget sunscreen, sunglasses, and plenty of water, the September sun is stronger than it looks.

Plan your flight to arrive at Naples International (NAP). To reach the coast, we suggest a private car service for a seamless 90-minute commute featuring some of the world's finest views.
Navigating by Sea
Taking the ferry is a quintessentially Mediterranean experience. It is a scenic way to travel between Naples, Salerno, and Amalfi, offering guests a unique perspective of the cliffs and colorful hillside villas.
Rail Connectivity
Upon arrival at NAP, guests can take an airport shuttle to Napoli Centrale. From there, high-speed rail lines offer a fast and efficient route to Salerno before catching a bus or taxi to Ravello.
